Louisville Water has provided us with an important update for Louisville residents. Please read below:
"Louisville Water has been experiencing quite a few buried and damaged meters during the last few months. This not only delays meter readings, but results in a higher bill for customers when the reading is finally collected and the account is trued up. Last year language was added to our service rules allowing for Louisville Water to charge for having to readjust or repair vaults, lids, and meter appurtenances. In an effort to avoid this, I am reaching out to the meter applicants to inform them of the issues we are experiencing in an effort to hopefully remedy the situation, however if we continue to have repeat offenders we will have move forward to assessing charges. As a reminder to developers and builders, the yard area is to be at final grade when they apply for service. Below are a couple pictures of recent issues."
