Why Join BIA as an Associate Member
Looking for an industry partner? You'll easily find them through the Association. BIA meetings, committees, and events provide members with the opportunity to build important relationships.
Through BIA, many members have built their businesses by participating in BIA events like Homearama, Table-Top Night, the Tour of Remodeled Homes, and the Home, Garden & Remodeling Show. And, within those events, BIA provides advertising and sponsorship opportunities that reach thousands of consumers each year.
For a fee, BIA allows members to reach out to other members with an email blast, reaching approximately 1,500 unique members.
To keep you in touch, BIA also provides its members with a customizable online directory, reaching both members and the public.
BIA's Governmental Affairs and Land Development committees monitor and address legislative, regulatory, utility, and legal issues. Through the BIPAC, our political action committee, BIA supports candidates seeking public office who support small businesses and the overall housing industry.
BIA offers an array of educational programs, discounted to its members, aimed at putting its members at the forefront of the building industry.
BIA has a group insurance plan which offers quality health insurance for members and their employees at extremely competitive rates.
BIA members may qualify to participate in the AGC-SIF, a Workers Compensation self-insured fund. If you qualify, this program can easily offset the cost of annual dues.
BIA also participates in several other insurance plans, including General Liability, Business, and Builders Risk Insurance.
The Association provides a variety of contracts and limited warranties for use solely by BIA builders and remodelers.
From weekly newsletters, keeping you up-to-date on everything industry-related to publicly distributed, professional publications, highlighting BIA members and signature events.
Each year the association recognizes dozens of member businesses for a variety of outstanding accomplishments and provides its members with an opportunity to take on industry leadership roles within the organization.
BIA works hard reminding everyone that housing is the backbone of the economy, and that its builders and remodelers are accountable to stand behind their homes with a limited warranty for one year.
Every member of BIA is also a member of the Home Builders Association of Kentucky (HBAK). HBAK is heavily involved in all state legislative matters that affect the building industry and lobby on its behalf to ensure that the housing industry remains strong.
All BIA members are automatically members of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The NAHB represents the entire spectrum of services, contractors, and suppliers who have an impact on the construction industry.
